Division 0 - Bidding and Contract Requirements Section 00100 - Advertisement for Bids The Carmi- White County Community Unit School District #5 Board of Education, will receive bids for the Carmi School New Storage Building work for Carmi School, Carmi, IL 62821. A. Work to be Bid: 1. Work to be covered by the new storage building bid shall include post-and beam structure with concrete, metal wall/ roof panels, insulation, double sliding doors and all associated work as described in the Construction Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. General Contractor C. Bid Requirements: 1. Sealed Bids are to be delivered to the Carmi-White County C.U.S.D. #5 Unit Office, 800 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821 prior to 2:00 p.m. (Local prevailing time) on Monday, May 15, 2023. Bids will be opened publicly. Bids received after the time and date listed will be returned un-opened (at Owner's discretion). 2. Bid security payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the total Bid, shall be executed by the Bidder in the form of certified check, bank draft, or acceptable surety. 3. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with Illinois Wages of Employees of Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Wages printed in the Project Manual are for the month of bidding only. Certified Payroll is required to be submitted with all Pay Applications. 4.
