Division 0 - Bidding and Contract Requirements Section 00100 - Advertisement for Bids The Carmi- White County Community Unit School District #5 Board of Education, will receive bids for the Carmi School New Storage Building work for Carmi School, Carmi, IL 62821. A. Work to be Bid: 1. Work to be covered by the new storage building bid shall include post-and beam structure with concrete, metal wall/ roof panels, insulation, double sliding doors and all associated work as described in the Construction Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. General Contractor C. Bid Requirements: 1. Sealed Bids are to be delivered to the Carmi-White County C.U.S.D. #5 Unit Office, 800 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821 prior to 2:00 p.m. (Local prevailing time) on Monday, May 15, 2023. Bids will be opened publicly. Bids received after the time and date listed will be returned un-opened (at Owner's discretion). 2. Bid security payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the total Bid, shall be executed by the Bidder in the form of certified check, bank draft, or acceptable surety. 3. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with Illinois Wages of Employees of Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Wages printed in the Project Manual are for the month of bidding only. Certified Payroll is required to be submitted with all Pay Applications. 4. Successful bidders will be required to perform and provide criminal background checks on all contractors, subcontractors and their employees, agents, or assigns that will be employed on this project prior to commencement of work, at the Contractor's expense. 5. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Carmi- White County C.U.S.D. #5 Unit Office, 800 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821. D. Bidding Documents: 1. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations: a. Lunsford Architects, Inc., 2470 Dr. Springs Rd., Carterville, IL 62918. b. Office of the Superintendent, Mr. Jarrod Newell, 800 W Main St Road, Carmi, IL 62821. 2. Bidding Documents may be obtained from: a. Lunsford Architects, Inc., 2470 Dr. Springs Rd., Carterville, IL 62918 - Three hundred dollars ($150.00) which is non-refundable; call in advance to allow for printing. Includes website access. b. Website - Fifty Dollars ($50.00) which is non-refundable and includes immediate access to all documents. E. Bidding Procedure: 1. No faxed bids will be accepted. 2. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informalities in the bidding. 3. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of Ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. F. Bidding Schedule: The Owner anticipates all work contemplated in the Construction Documents shall commence June 1, 2023 and be finally complete no later than August 1, 2023.
