The scope of work generally includes, but not limited to, mobilization, traffic control, water pollution prevention control, dust prevention and control, site cleanup, hazardous material abatement, temporary fencing, building demolition, trenching, disconnection and/or abandonment of existing utilities, protection of existing buildings and structures, disposal, grading, concrete removal and improvements, roadway resurfacing, installation of and site restoration. The Engineer's Estimate for this is between $200,000 and $250,000. A Class A, B, C, C-21, or any combination of Contractors License is required for this work. Work will be done and payments will be made in accordance with provisions more particularly described in the plans and specifications adopted by the San Carlos City Council on April 10, 2023, and on file in the office of the City Clerk. Bids must be accompanied by a Proposal guarantee amounting to ten (10%) percent of the bid as described in the specifications. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to the Contractor (1) enter into a contract with the City and (2) furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the privilege of rejecting any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for opening of proposals. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
