Providing all labor, materials and equipment for the resurfacing of approximately 35.34 miles of Forsyth County roadway. Local funding and State LMIG Funds. All work to be completed by January 31, 2024. The Bidder is required to examine the sites of the proposed work, the Bid Specifications, Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions, and Contract forms prior to submitting a Bid. No bids will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. (EST), June 8, 2023. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check drawn in favor of the Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, Georgia, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond, in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) full penal sum of the Contract and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to one hundred ten percent (110%) of the full amount of the Contract, as provided by law. The aggregate amount of the bonds shall be 210 percent of the full penal sum of the Contract. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, Georgia, as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified of award of the Contract.
