Site work, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
The proposed work involves providing all materials, labor, equipment, and any necessary design work for the removal and replacement with new, up-to-code fire alarm system and devices for Building A59 at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, D.C. Replacement of all equipment shall be one-for-one with same size, material, and brand (if applicable) as existing. When replacement materials are other than the original/existing, the contractor shall inquire for approval. Any work that involves the removal or cutting of ceiling tile or wall masonry must be replaced and painted to match existing. The objective of this project is to provide backflow preventers for NRL-A59 and modernize existing fire protection systems and ensure that the fire protection system is maintained with new, updated equipment that is up to current code and standards listed in the UFC 3-600-01 (Change 6, 2021) and NFPA 13.
