Washington Mountain Road Crack Sealing and Related Work. Work includes crack sealing on Washington Mountain Road from the Dalton Town Line to the Becket Town Line. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. There is a project Architect/Engineer for this project who is Foresight Land Services, Inc. of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Except as otherwise indicated in the Contract Documents, the Architect/ Engineer shall be a representative of the Owner and the Contractor shall direct all communications, questions and comments on the work and the performance thereof to the Town Engineer. Except as otherwise provided, the Architect/Engineer shall have all the authority of the Owner set forth in the Contract Documents. In general, the Architect/Engineer shall have the authority to review the performance of the work, reject work, which is defective or otherwise does not comply with the Contract Documents and to order the Contractor to remedy defective work and take such actions which are necessary to make the work conform to the Contract Documents. SCOPE OF WORK The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all operations necessary for the Washington Mountain Road Crack Sealing & Related Work project as shown on the Plans, as herein specified, as directed by the Field Engineer, and as evidently required to properly complete the following items: 1. Provide traffic controls and mobilization as incidental. 2. Install safety controls and signage. 3. Perform crack sealing operations and related work. 4. Perform clean-up and incidental work as directed. 5. Provide Record Data. WORK SCHEDULE All bids are to be opened on May 25, 2023. Begin Work: June 5, 2023 Substantial Completion: June 23, 2023 Final Completion: June 30, 2023 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS The location and details of the work to be done are described in the Scope of Work and specifications. The plans along with these Special Provisions shall be supplemental to the Massachusetts Highway Department "Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges", 2023 Edition Plans and Special Provisions are on file at the office of the Washington Highway Superintendent and at the office of Foresight Land Services, Inc.
