Site work for a water / sewer project in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of May 15, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. The owner anticipates requesting a design firm in August 2023. This project is included in the City of Port Washington's Fiscal Year 2023-2027 CIP and funding allotted for FY 2024. The city intends to replace roughly one mile of roads each year. During road reconstruction, water mains that are 50+ years old and non-PVC are replaced. Most roads that are chosen to be replaced have multiple water main breaks and have cost the city large amounts money for repair. The city is also targeting any neighborhoods that might have public and private service lines. Staff has identified over 900 public lines and over 700 private lines. Replacing water mains helps eliminate lead from our system. The roads chosen this year are: West Walters West Jefferson Whitefish Road Fairview Drive *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
