SCOPE OF SERVICE REQUIREMENTS The Vendor will complete a SUE mapping investigation in accordance with the ASCE Standard 38-02: Standard Guideline for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility. A Quality Level D, C, B investigation is required for the entire investigation area. The following describes the requirements of this investigation: Review information received from the Agency; Complete existing utility records search (QL-D); Complete above ground utility survey (QL-C) of visible above ground utility features; Locate and mark all underground utility mains and services: electrical, gas, communications and water services within the project area (QL-B); Survey the spatial position of field markings; and Plot all surveyed data/locates and sanitary lateral alignment within the project area limits in the Microstation Format on the site plans. Base plans in Microstation format will be supplied by the Agency to the successful Bidder. Project area showing the ROW has been provided in Appendix 6.3 SUE Investigation Limits. 3. PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Upon completion of the utility investigation the Vendor will provide the following deliverables: Final plan drawing(s) signed and stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in the province of Ontario, per ASCE 38-02 showing the horizontal and vertical location of the underground utilities and the described quality level over the project area (hard and soft copy). The drawing will depict known utilities within the investigation area as per the appropriate quality level; and A report signed and stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in the province of Ontario summarizing the results. 4. RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORKPLAN TIMEFRAME Schedule is critical to the project. The Vendor shall perform the Services and shall deliver Documents and deliverables required in performance of the Services by August 25, 2023. The Vendor shall meet with the Agency representative prior to commencement of any work and shall submit a schedule of the operations within fourteen (14) days of Contract award. 5. TRAFFIC CONTROL The Vendor shall supply, place, and maintain warning signs, delineators and flashing lights necessary for the protection of the public and the work in accordance with the latest edition of the Ministry of Transportation's Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 - Temporary Conditions. The cost of all signs, barricades, energy attenuators, flashers, delineators, safety fencing, and flaggers shall be included in the price of investigation at no additional cost to the Agency.
