Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Work includes the following: 1. Construction of an above-ground concrete masonry pumping plant structure with prefabricated truss roof approximately 30 ft x 20 ft x 18 ft which includes a new double- lift 0.6 million gallon per day (MGD) Westside Pumping Plant and new Encinal Regulator; furnishing and installing two 60-HP vertical turbine pumps and motors with related piping; furnishing and installing two 6" regulator valves; furnishing and installing a 300 gallon surge tank; furnishing and installing an overhead bridge crane; construction of retaining walls, driveways, fencing, gates, landscaping and other site improvements, and performing related required work. 2. Removing from service 530 feet of 8" Mortar Lined and Plastic Coated Steel (ML&PCS) pipe and 330 feet of 6" Cast Iron (CI) pipe and all appurtenances including hydrants and blowoffs; furnishing and installing approximately 20 feet of 6" ML&PCS pipe, 220 feet of 8" ML&PCS pipe, and 675 feet of 12" ML&PCS pipe, including all appurtenances and fittings; modifying portable pump connections including installation of new hydrant and manhole on Madera Lane, and performing related required work. 3. Demolition of the existing Westside and Encinal Pumping Plants and structures and all associated pumps, motors, electrical components, and associated piping; demolition of the existing Encinal Reservoir and all the associated components and piping; and demolition of the existing concrete floor slab and tank footing and associated piping of the old Orinda Reservoir. Within District property boundaries, remove decommissioned pipes from the ground entirely and backfill using Class II aggregate base, and cap abandoned pipelines within the public right-of-way. Performance and payment bonds for not less than 100 percent of the contract price are required. All work covered by the contract including approval of final operations & maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and all testing shall be completed within one-thousand two-hundred sixty (1,260) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
