The purpose of this Request for Proposals (Request for Proposals) is to establish a contract for scheduled preventative maintenance and as-needed HVAC repair and/or replacement for all HVAC equipment, for Petersburg City Public Schools (PCPS) (herein referred to as the School Board). The work under this contract will be on existing equipment for various PCPS buildings. This contract will include all HVAC equipment. Multiple awards may be made as a result of this RFP. Inquiries must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the due date in order to be considered. Contact initiated by a bidder/proposer concerning this solicitation with any other School board representative, not expressly authorized elsewhere in this document, is prohibited. Any such unauthorized contact may result in disqualification of the bidder/proposer from this transaction. Examples of work that could be required under the as-needed HVAC repair and/or replacement portions of the contract may include, but are not limited to the following: Inspection, maintenance, and repair of all types of HVAC systems and equipment Troubleshoot, localize, and repair control circuits, electric motors and compressors Replace worn or defective parts or complete devices when conditions warrant Recover/recycle all Chlorine Fluorine Carbon (CFCs) and Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFCs) in accordance with the Clean Air Act and containment regulations thereof Preventative Maintenance
