Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
As of August 8, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. All work for the project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications provided by Kimley-Horn and the proposed improvements will be awarded and constructed, if award is made, under one Construction Agreement. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all plan materials, equipment and services. The proposed scope of work consists of tasks at the existing Veterans Memorial Park for renovations to the memorial, pedestrian enhancements, landscape, lighting, and furnishings. The Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid which is in the best interest of the City, in the sole and absolute discretion of the City. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: In the event the Contract is awarded to the Bidder, they will thereafter enter into a written Construction Agreement with the Owner and furnish Payment and Performance Bonds in an amount equal to the Contract Price, in strict accordance with Section 255.05 of Florida Statutes. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. BID BOND. A bid bond will be required in the amount of 5% of the Bid Price.
