Site work and paving for a civil project in Fort Collins, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
As of February 12, 2024, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Reference Number 0000330751 Question Acceptance Deadline 10/18/2023 at 3:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No Tentative start date November 10, 2023 Project substantial completion date June 17, 2024 Project final completion date July 1, 2024 The Contract Documents provide for the construction of Bid XXXX Poudre Trail Spur at I-25 which is funded through a Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant and City of Fort Collins Conservation Trust Funds; federal funds are associated with this project. The Work includes construction of a new mile 5 thick,10 wide colored concrete trail, a crusher fines vehicle turnaround on the east side of I-25, and restoration for any areas disturbed during construction. CDOT has recently completed their portion of trail under the new I-25 bridges, and this project will tie into their portion of trail on both the east and west sides of I-25. This project will not allow machine pouring, only hand forming and hand pouring. This project is within Arapahoe Bend Natural Area property and the work needs to stay within the plans footprint and special care needs to be conducted during construction to minimize resource damage. All trails must comply with ADA requirements (see next paragraph), any cross slopes identified in Exhibit A with 2% indicates the maximum allowable cross slope as stated on Sheet 5, Note 2, Contractor to ensure cross slopes are between 1.5% and 2%. A consultant contracted by the Owner will be conducting archaeological monitoring during ground disturbing construction activities. Scheduling of the archaeological monitoring will be coordinated by the City PM. Monitoring will likely occur during clearing and grubbing and grading. Currently there are no known artifacts in this area and these surveys are not anticipated to have any effect on the construction schedule. ADA Compliance. In performing the Services required hereunder, the Contractor agrees to meet all the requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, and all applicable rules and regulations (the 'ADA'), which are imposed directly on the Contractor or which would be imposed on the City as a public entity. The Contractor agrees to be responsible for knowing all applicable requirements of the ADA and to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City, its officials, agents and employees from and against any and all claims, actions, suits or proceedings of any kind brought against said parties as a result of any acts or omissions of the Contractor or its agents in violation of the ADA. Bid security in the amount of not less than 5% of the total Bid must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein.
