The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting electronic bids for maintenance of Shale Pit Road on State Game Lands (SGL) #91. The scope of the project includes clearing and grubbing a wooded area for a new road section, milling existing pavement, making drainage improvements, road surface preparation and roadway construction with base material and #2A coarse aggregate. When bidding, amount bid should be in dollars and cents-----no fractions of a cent will be accepted. Any questions concerning completion of an electronic bid should be directed to the PGC Procurements Division at 717-787-6594. Bidders should visit the site to ascertain the pertinent conditions such as existing road surface conditions, drainage patterns and other working conditions The project area is open to public travel. Permission is not required to visit the site; however, we recommend contacting Mr. Gildea or Mr. Bryk for directions and for status of road conditions before going to the site. The Commonwealth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technical defects in bids and to accept or reject any part of the bid deemed in the best interests of the Commonwealth. Except as otherwise provided by law, award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and all bidders will be advised of the bid results. A Purchase Order will be generated at the time of award without further input from the successful bidder. Awarded vendor will be sent a copy of this document and no work will be authorized until the vendor is in receipt of the Purchase Order A bid guarantee or bond is not required.
