Construction Cost Range:$60,000 - $80,000 The City of Bluefield is seeking sealed quotes from qualified contractors to inspect and retrofit the Mitchell Stadium Audio and Video equipment as specified herein. Work covered by this section of the RFQ shall conform to all contract documents, engineering plans, and/or state and local codes. B. The purpose of these requirements is to define the audio system performance and design standards for Mitchell Stadium using an audio sound source based on existing sound system standards. The manufacturer / contractor shall supply sound system equipment to meet or exceed the standards set forth in these requirements. C. The sports audio sound systems will be for the following venue: 1. Mitchell Stadium Football Field D. The primary goals of this sports sound system project are: 1. Guaranteed Sound Levels: Selection of appropriate sound levels impacts the safety of the players and the enjoyment of spectators. Also, sound quality levels should be guaranteed for a ten-year timeframe. 2. Environmental Sound Control: It is the primary goal of this project to minimize excessive noise beyond the stadium area to adjoining properties and inconvenience the players, spectators, and neighbors. The sound system design should provide better control than a good HID design. 3. Life-cycle Cost: In order to reduce the operating budget, the preferred sound system shall be weather resistant and cost-effective to operate. All maintenance costs shall be eliminated for the duration of the warranty. 4. Control and Monitoring: To allow for optimized use of labor resources and avoid unneeded operation of the facility, customers require a remote on/off control system for the audio sound system. Fields should be proactively monitored to detect equipment failures. All communication and monitoring costs for a five-year period shall be included in the quotation. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
