Renovation of a mixed-use development in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

As of June 15, 2023, project was awarded to Innovation Landscape, Inc , awarded amount is $288,942.10. Consideration of Award scheduled for a park board meeting on June 14th at a meeting of the Pleasant Dale Park District Board of Commissioners. Questions will be answered in the form of written addenda and provided to all Bidders, as per State of Illinois statutes. Submit questions regarding the bid in writing to Planning Resources, shalberg@planres.com no later than 10:00 AM on May 25, 2023. This work is related to the Walker Park 2-5 Playground Renovation and Landscape Improvements and includes installation of owner furnished Landscape Structures Inc. (LSI) playground equipment, pouredin- place resilient rubber play surface, installation of recycled/repurposed modular block retaining wall components, drainage improvements, landscaping, seeding, mulch beds, and installation of erosion control blanket and any other miscellaneous work necessary for a complete job as depicted in the plans and specifications. The District encourages the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities in the implementation and execution of the Project, either on a direct basis or through subcontracting efforts. DBE requirements for the Project are consistent with State of Illinois DBE requirements. If Bidder proposes consideration as a DBE, a DBE Form must be submitted as a part of Contractor's bid. The contractor awarded the contract will be required to post a performance bond, labor and material payment bond in a penal amount equal to the contract price, plus insurance meeting the District requirements, and furnish monthly Certified Payroll documentation meeting Illinois Department of Labor requirements. The contractor awarded the contract will be required to be licensed in the Village of Burr Ridge, Illinois if required by the Village including completion of all licensing requirements, payment of all fees, and deposits as required by the Village. The Contractor will be responsible for coordination and scheduling of any or all inspections required or requested by the Village of Burr Ridge or any other authority having jurisdiction over the project or project site. The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers and workers performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. For the entire duration of this work under the Contract, the Contractor shall conform to the federal and state statutes on equal opportunity and fair employment. Submission of required certified payroll records will be required prior to payment by Owner to the installation contractor. This notice shall not create any legal obligation on behalf of the District to evaluate any bid that is submitted by a contractor, or to enter into any contract with a contractor submitting a bid. The District reserves the right to (1) cancel or modify this notice or the contract documents in whole or in part; (2) reject any or all bids submitted; (3) waive non-material formalities and technicalities deemed appropriate; (4) postpone bid opening or bid award; (5) issue a call for new bids; or (6) award the contract for the project in whole or in part, or to one or more contractors. The successful Bidder will be required to self-perform a minimum of thirty-five percent (35%) of the total value of the Bid submitted, and to supply a list of all required or proposed subcontractors and material suppliers including the subcontract scope of work and a list of all proposed subcontractors and material suppliers submitted with the proposal. Failure to supply a complete or comprehensive list of subcontractors and the subcontractor's scope with the bid proposal may cause the bid to be considered non-responsive.
