At the time of submission of the bid and thereafter, each bidder must be licensed as a Class A - General Engineering Contractor and C-10 Electrical OR the Contractor licensed as Class A General Engineering Contractor with a subcontractor licensed as a Class C-10 Electrical OR the Contractor licensed as Class C-10 Electrical with a subcontractor licensed as a Class A General Engineering Contractor as defined in Sections 7055-7058 of the Business and Professions Code. Each bidder shall set forth on the Bidder's Information Sheet and the Contractor's License Affidavit the classification and number of the requisite license which that bidder holds. The IPU reserves the right to award the contract to the contractor with another license class if the IPU determines that the license class is proper for the proposed work. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Please note: It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded . Any bids submitted without proof that bidder and any listed subcontractor(s) are currently registered and qualified to perform public work, pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, may not be accepted by the IPU. The Scope of Work is as follows : Distribution Line Extension 15 (Off-site work) - Furnishing and installation of 2,600 Lineal feet of underground duct system, four manholes, and one switch pad, including trenching and shoring it required, slurry backfill, 3 2 sack encasement with red oxide around duct system and removal of existing asphalt and final paving of street to restore back in normal condition: installation of 5,500 circuit feet of 350MCM, Aluminum 15,000- Volt EPR Feeder cable, installation of pad mounted switch and other cable devices and splices as shown on the plans. Install tagging of all cable and numbering of structures and equipment. IPU to provide feeder cable, and other cable devices. Electrical Services (On-site work) Installation of pad mount switch, feeder cable from nearest manhole, install 3,000 circuit feed of15,000- Volt, 1/0 primary cable, 2 three way 200-amp load break junctions with load break elbows and connectors, splices, two pad mounted transformers, and secondary cables as shown on the plans. All onsite substructure work to be performed by others. IPU will provide primary cable, transformers, junctions, and other cable. Install tagging of all cable and numbering of structures and equipment. Contractor to provide labor and equipment only for onsite work. Experience Requirement : The Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing similar work for installation of manholes and duct system in public streets for Public Works projects for other electrical utilities in Southern California. Contractor shall also have five (5) years of experience in installation, testing, energizing and switching of 12,000 volt underground distribution system in Southern California. Contractor shall complete and submit Contractor s Statement of Experience pages C-17 through C-18 to list three Public Works projects completed for public agencies in Southern California with name of the Company, contact person and bid price.
