Renovation of an educational facility in N Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
1. Eliminate ths add-alternate for removal of the abandoned 38"0 horizontal biack iron flue pipe. This item will be reflected in revised drawings to be issued in forthcoming Addendum 2. Demolition of the 2Q"0 stainless steel flue pipe will be limited to the horizontal runs, The vertical within the existing 38"0 black iron pipe will remain. Contractor to provide a new transition piece from existing y-fitting and provide new horizontal stainless flue only. This item will be reflected in revised drawings to be issued in forthcoming Addendum 3. The alcove and termination for the new vent for the existing domestic boiler should be extended beyond the alcove nearly fully height wall, it should come through the boiler room wall and include (2) SCTs to exit the alcove above the gate. This wiH require temporary removal of the security bars over the access door with the final termination down 90"s. Will still be well beneath the overhang of the glass curtain wail facade above and away from the double entry/exit door which should minimize any flue condensate nuisance. All requests for interpretation of plans and specifications may be submitted in writing via email addressed to Kathleen Canavan at kcanavan@chelmsfordma.gov no later than Friday, 05/19/23 by 4 pm
