Renovation of a water / sewer project in Wilson, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project is generally described as follows: General: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for the construction/improvements at the wastewater lagoon facility, force main piping, irrigation piping, and irrigation vault. The general overall project improvements include construction staking, mobilization, erosion control, approximately 8 acres of grass seeding, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Wastewater Lagoon Facility Improvements: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for the wastewater lagoon facility improvements. The improvements include approximately 17,106 cubic yards of common excavation, approximately 12,651 cubic yards of earthwork compaction, 1,675 linear feet of woven wire fencing, relocation of utilities, rip rap, trenching; backfilling; over excavation; compaction; site grading; and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Wastewater Force Main, Irrigation and Site Improvements: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for the wastewater force main and irrigation improvements. The improvements include 1,010 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary force main, 1,432 linear feet of 2-inch PVC sanitary force main, 669 linear feet of 2-inch irrigation piping, 111 linear feet of 2-inch irrigation piping by directional drill, sprinkler head assemblies, valves, concrete vault, 40 linear feet of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer, electrical work, site grading, trenching, backfilling, compaction, over excavation, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Alternate No. 1: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for installing 435 linear feet of 2-inch PVC irrigation piping, sprinkler head assemblies, valves, site grading, trenching backfilling, compaction, over excavation, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Alternate No. 2: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for installing 359 linear feet of 2-inch PVC irrigation piping, sprinkler head assemblies, valves, site grading, trenching backfilling, compaction, over excavation, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Bidder qualifications may be required in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Contract time will be set in accordance with the Agreement. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. This project is funded by a Kansas Department Health and Environment Revolving Loan (KWPCRF), Bidder's attention is called to the required compliance with KWPCRF funding requirements. Associated certifications and the completion of other documents will be required for the successful completion of the project. All bidders are required to comply with Local, State, and Federal regulations as stated in the bid documents. Bidders on this work, including subcontractors or vendors, will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Requirements for bidders and contractors are explained in the Bid Documents. All contracts and subcontracts exceeding $100,000, at any tier under SRF Loan Agreement shall comply with the Anti-Lobbying Act, Section 319 of Public Law 101-121, and file an Anti-Lobbying Certification from, and the Disclosure of Lobbying Activities from, if require, to the next tier above. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Federal prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. Statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron and steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials.
