Renovation of a residential development in Wilson, Kansas. Working plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The primary use of this building is for the storage of the two vans used to provide transportation for the KDOT sponsored public transportation program. The requested repairs are as follows: Roof Section 1. Remove existing roof panels. Install sheeting as needed. Install TPIO roofing membrane or similar material for final coating. Remove and reinstall roof air conditioner platform and unit. 2. Design and install new internal supports for proper support of existing roof joists. Repair or replace damaged roof joists as required. 3. Ensure new roof is properly sealed with existing side walls, west facade and east wall containing doors. Facade Section 1. Remove part or all of west facade as needed to allow for the repair of the structural issues which include, settled footings, sagging headers and damaged windows. 2. Frame new wall for the replacement of windows, headers, and siding. If possible, the section of the facade containing the original doors will be salvaged and reused in the new wall. 3. Install new siding, windows, and trim. Caulk and paint west facade as needed. Cleanup 1. Contractor will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment during construction. This includes ensuring the general public and passerby's are not exposed to unsafe conditions. 2. Contractor will properly dispose of all debris generated during the project. Contractor responsibilities 1. Contractor will provide the City with proof of insurance and required licenses. 2. Contractor will provide written warranty for completed work. Inspection of existing building 1. The building identified in the project is available for inspection by contractors that are planning on submitting a bid. 3. To inspect the building or for questions regarding the project, contact Wilson City Hall. Questions must be submitted to Wilson City Hall by March 13, 2023. Questions will be summarized in one document provided to all interested parties.
