Replace domestic hot and hot water return lines above the reflected ceiling in the south wing of the school The proposal shall be submitted with the attached Bid Cover Sheet completed in its entirety. Warranty information, when applicable, shall also be included & submitted. All work to be performed during normal working hours. If bid price is over $25,000 or more, bidder must be signatory to relevant union, per terms of the Various Trades Contract and Project Labor Agreement. If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid. Provide labor and material to complete the following: Shut down domestic water supply to building and drain. Demolish approximately: o300' of 2" domestic cold water supply piping o600' of 1" domestic hot water supply piping (2 separate lines) o300' of 3/4" and 1" domestic hot water return piping. Dispose of all piping and material offsite. Demolition of water lines to start at the tees, above the reflected ceiling, by Room 148, to the North end of the South Building. Refer to general notes about installation type and install. Install the following footages of piping: o300' of 2" domestic cold water supply piping o600' of 1" domestic hot water supply piping (2 separate lines) o300' of 3/4" and 1" domestic hot water return piping. -Fill system and test for proper operation. INSTALLATION NOTES: Water pipe installation conforms with the following standards Install additional hangars and supports where required by code -All copper piping to be Type "L" -All joints to be press, solder or threaded type -All branches to be reconnected with dielectric fittings and ball valve -Each return line branch to be fitted with circuit setter, check valve, union, and (2)ball valves. -All branches to be connected at the furthest available joint before passing through hallway wall. -All new piping to be covered with 1" thick fiberglass insulation and Zeston elbows.
