Site work and new construction of a road / highway in Moses Lake, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a road / highway; and for site work for a road / highway.

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for improvements to Yonezawa Blvd & SR 17 Intersection. The proposed improvements include constructing a multilane roundabout and extending Yonezawa Avenue East to accommodate four lanes of traffic, removal of exiting signal systems in order to accommodate the proposed improvements and coordination with multiple agencies in preparation for construction. This project has 13% DBE goal. The major features of the Design of multilane roundabout to WSDOT Standard Specification and Design Manual. Design new connection for 4th leg on the intersection for East Yonezawa Blvd Extension to accommodate up to four lanes of traffic that meets City Standards. Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications if necessary. Topographic and boundary survey (the City has completed some of the survey work; the consultant will be provided with the existing survey to expand to project limits). Geotechnical engineering as needed for roadway and storm drainage design. Illumination System modification design and traffic signal removal. Determination of R/W needs, limited access revisions, and R/W plan preparation. Construction phasing, sequencing, property access plans, and site-specific traffic control plans. New utility installation and existing utility relocation coordination as needed. A copy of the Grant application and award letter are available by request.
