Site work and new construction of an educational facility in San Antonio, Texas. Completed plans call civil work for a post-secondary education facility.
As of February 10, 2026, this project has been completed. *The original solicitation is listed below for historical reference. The project is a new four level 150,000 sq ft load bearing metal stud student housing project. The building will house 600 beds. The project will be bordered by Barshop Blvd, Margaret Tobin Ave, and Chisolm Hall. The building will be clad with curtainwall, brick, insulated metal panels, and precast concrete. The roof will be PVC. SpawGlass Contractors, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the UTSA Blanco Hall project is soliciting competitive Bid Proposals for the Early Release Bid Packages including the following scopes of work. o 2.01 Site Clean-up/wheel washing o 2.02 Office Clean-up o 2.03 Street cleaning o 2.04 Traffic control / crosswalk / pedestrian bridging o 2.05 Verify utilities o 2.06 Trailer setup o 2.07 Tree protection o 2.08 Temp fence maint o 2.09 Layout and Dimensional Controls o 2.10 Spoil Removal (piers, utilities, etc) o 2.11 Dewatering o 2.12 Dust Control o 2.13 Pre-pour Prep & Cleaning o 2.14 BIM Coordination o 2.15 Turnkey Concrete o 2.16 Concrete removal/haul off o 2.17 Waterproofing Consultant - Window Testing o 2.18 SWPPP maintenance o 2.19 Site security o 2.20 Daily Housekeeping o 2.21 Earthwork o 2.22 Site utilities o 2.23 Temporary Fencing Contracts for the Early Release Bid Packages will be awarded based on this round of pricing. Selection of trade partners for the early release bid packages will be based on best value evaluation by the Owner and Construction Manager. SpawGlass and University of Texas at San Antonio reserve the right to accept or reject any, and all proposals. Project Description The scope of work for UTSA Blanco Hall is construction of a four story, XXXXXX sf structure with a footprint of XXXX sf to serve as the student housing for the University of Texas at San Antonio.
