SCOPE OF WORK The project will consist of the following three (3) phases: 1. Fact-Finding and Preliminary/Conceptual Design 2. Final Design, Specifications, and Public Bid 3. Construction Inspection & Administration PROJECT TIMELINE The design of the project will start on the date the consultant receives a written Notice to Proceed. Time to complete the project is of the essence (maximum 12 weeks). PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Passaic is seeking proposals from qualified Landscape Architects and/or Engineering firms to complete the design, construction plans, specifications, and bid documents for the redesign and reconstruction of the Colonel Johnson Park located at 190 Harrison Street. The size of the park is approximately 0.790 acres. The core improvement component to the park will be the construction and installation of an approximate 21' W x 106' L splash pad with a 5' spray-free concrete area around the perimeter of the splash pad. Additional improvements to the park will consist of a rubberized safety surface for play, new playground equipment and/or relocation of existing equipment, fencing, connection to a water source, runoff mitigation, drainage, lighting, landscaping, and any further improvements deemed necessary during the concept development phase. The successful candidate must have significant experience in the design of parks, drainage, and recreational facilitiesfunded by the Green Acres Program.
