The Project consists of the construction of building-wide HVAC system upgrades: Mechanical Systems Modifying water-based fire suppression systems to accommodate new piping and sprinkler head configuration in renovated areas. Plumbing including, supply and waste piping systems, piping insulation, plumbing fixtures. Replacing DX cooling systems with chilled water, including associated pumps, chillers, piping, cooling coils, etc. Boiler plant replacement, including piping, piping insulation, boilers, etc. Air handling unit replacement and modifications, including full unit replacement and cooling coil modifications. Temperature control system, including integration of new equipment to existing BAS and replacement of pneumatic controls with DDC. Electrical Systems Modification of existing power distribution to accommodate removal/replacement of HVAC equipment. Complete Coordination Study and Arc Flash Analysis of power distribution system. Sitework Concrete equipment pads located on-grade. Building Structure Structural reinforcing to support new roof-mounted equipment. WORK SEQUENCE Construct work in phases during the construction period: Phase 1: PB Heating Plant, AHU-PB, and Pneumatic Controls Replacement. The work of this phase will include: All work associated with the replacement of the PB heating plant (boilers, pumps, etc.), AHU-PB (unit, ductwork, etc.) and pneumatic controls. b. Substantial Completion of this phase will be on: May 31, 2024. Phase 2: East and West Cooling Plants. The work of this phase will include: All work associated with the replacement of DX cooling equipment with chilled water systems (chillers, pumps, piping, etc.). b. Substantial Completion of this phase will be on: March 31, 2025.
