Site work for a water / sewer project in Batavia, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project has been identified in the Water Utility Water Main Replacement Program as a priority for replacement and will be completed in conjunction with Main St. Phase II Reconstruction Project. The water main will be replaced from S. Van Nortwick Ave. to Blair & added from Blair to Ellen Ln. This addition will loop in Roberts Ln, which is currently a dead end. The new DIWM will be 8"-12" in diameter, significantly improving fire flow and water quality, especially to Roberts Lane. This project is included in the Capital Improvement Plan for FY2025-2029. As of May 9, 2025, per owner, this project is still a future CIP project and unfortunately not likely to move forward for five or more years (funding). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
