The Consultant shall perform consultation, research, professional and technical services required for Roadway Design and related Project Development and Construction Support Services, on an as-needed basis to support the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), North Region Division of Project Development, Office of Design & ES, District 2, from the PA&ED phase, to the completion of the Construction Support phase, and completion of D2 Design Projects, in the maintenance, development and construction of proposed Caltrans transportation facilities Traffic Engineering - includes traffic forecasting, traffic modeling, traffic studies, and development of Traffic Management Plans. Environmental Studies - includes Preparation of Draft and Final Environmental Document and all permit activities to environmental agencies.
Structural Engineering - includes new or retrofit design of bridge or major
building facility structures. Geotechnical Engineering - includes all geotechnical testing, analysis,
studies and reports.
Material Testing - field testing of any material for design use or construction material testing. Land Surveying. Right of Way Engineering. Water Quality. Visual Impact Analysis. Landscape Architecture. Architecture. Federal and/or State prevailing wage rates may apply. This requirement, if applicable, will be specified in the draft Agreement. Questions concerning this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) must be submitted in writing to the attention of Denetia Smith at Denetia.Smith@dot.ca.gov. Questions must
be received no later than seven (7) business days after the RFQ advertisement. Caltrans reserves the right to terminate negotiations with the first selected firm and begin negotiations with the next selected firm or to cancel the procurement prior to execution. Caltrans reserves the right to add or delete from this list of projects that are within the geographical jurisdiction of the Contract set forth in Location of Work Section within the North Region Division of Project Development, Office of Design & Engineering Services, District 2, s jurisdiction. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
