The city's website has update-to-date bid information with current project information and instructions for obtaining an electronic copy of the bid document and plans. Once bids are reviewed and verified, the contract is taken to city council for award. o (a) o the cip is a financial plan of authorized expenditures for tangible, long-term construction of, or improvements to, public physical facilities. The cip section of the public works department plans for the city's infrastructure needs over a five year period and budgets for the necessary projects. These projects include street improvements, traffic signals, storm drains, sewers and wastewater treatment facilities, recycled water, potable water and water treatment facilities and wells, and community buildings, structures, recreational facilities. The cip section plans, designs, estimates, prepares and reviews bid documentation including construction plans and specifications, provides project management, administration, inspection and technical assistance as needed on all city-related improvement projects.
