The Southwest Vermont Regional Technical School District is requesting proposals by qualified law firms for legal services for its technical school district which consists of only one school, Southwest Tech. The work will consist of services associated with, but not limited to, the following issues: Special Education, 504, 117 Policies & Procedures Compliance with statutory & regulatory mandates Due process, arbitration & mediation IDEA Student Discipline Policies & Procedures Due Process Confidentiality Personnel Policies & Procedures Collective Bargaining Due Process, Arbitration, Mediation, Fact Finding Employee Discipline Workers Compensation Conflict of Interest Title VII (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.) 403B Plan Documentation Business Policies & Procedures School Construction Issues Leases Contracts Bid Procedures Insurance & Liability Issues General Education & Municipal Law Policies & Procedures Board Rights & Responsibilities lnterschool District Relationships School District Elections & Ballot Issues for Town, Union, and Incorporated School Districts Student Residency Vermont Public School Finance No Child Left Behind FERPA Open Meeting Law & Public Record Trainings Workshops & Seminars for Administrators & Teachers on specific issues on an as needed basis Board Training on an as needed basis Terms of the RFP: Proposals should state billing rates & policies Please provide a commitment to response time for all inquiries from the Southwest Vermont Regional Technical School District Superintendent's office whether it is by phone and/or email.
