Information obtained from any other source is not official and should not be relied upon. Enquiries Deadline: Suppliers should send questions to the Official Contact before the date and time specified on the cover page of this RFP. Questions received after the deadline may not be answered. Oral questions will be allowed at the interested suppliers' meeting, however questions of a complex nature, or questions where the suppliers require anonymity, should be forwarded in writing to the Official Contact prior to the meeting. By attending the interested suppliers' meeting, the supplier consents to a transcript or minutes of the meeting being taken by the School District. Responses to questions proposed in writing or orally during the interested suppliers' meeting, and any clarification or revision of answers or other information provided during the interested suppliers' meeting (collectively the "Minutes") will be posted to BC Bid or otherwise distributed to suppliers. Further to the above, the School District reserves the right, in its sole discretion: o to respond to questions submitted prior to the interested suppliers' meeting or asked during the interested suppliers' meeting by making such response within the Minutes rather than responding to such questions during the interested suppliers' meeting; o to clarify or revise any response or information in the Minutes that were given during the interested suppliers' meeting and the version in the Minutes will prevail; and to not answer questions orally or in writing, answer questions orally or in writing in whole or in part, or to reformulate questions (whether asked during the interested suppliers' meeting or submitted in writing prior to the interested suppliers' meeting) and to reflect a response, if any, in the Minutes. Vehicles on School Property: As a safety measure, vehicles being driven on School Property shall be limited to a maximum speed of eight (8) kilometers per hour. Where possible, the use of vehicles on School Property at times when children are at play (i.e. before school, recess, noon hour and after school) should be avoided. Under no circumstances should a vehicle be backed up on School Property when children are at play unless a responsible adult is available on the grounds at the rear of the vehicle for guidance. Any vehicle proceeding in the vicinity of children playing will utilize a responsible adult as a safety-watcher to walk the vehicle through the area. The Board of Education of School District No.35 (Langley) ("SD35") invites proposals from qualified contractors for the design, supply, and installation of a universally accessible playground at Douglas Park Community School located at 5409 206th St., Langley BC. The budget for this project is One Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) CDN, inclusive of all applicable taxes. Note, SD35 receives a 68% rebate on GST which should be factored into the budget. It is SD35's intention to spend the entire budget for this project, therefore Contractors are encouraged to provide a Proposal that meets this amount and represents the best value for the playground space including as many of the desirable requirements as possible.
