Site work for a road / highway in Barrhead, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The County of Barrhead is seeking a gravel crushing contractor to carry out the crushing of up to 25,000 tonnes of Des 4 Class 40 and a minimum of 90,000 tonnes of Des 4 Class 23 gravel. This work will be carried out at the County's Vega Gravel pit, located at SE-3-63-4-W5. It is anticipated that this crushing will deplete the gravel pit, and so quantities are estimated at the minimum amount with the expectation that there will be excess material to crush more Des 4 Class 23 gravel. The crushing project was awarded to Surmont Sand and Gravel Ltd. Pricing is $5.70/tonne and greater than 90 000 tonne is at $5.66/tonne.
