The County of Barrhead is seeking a gravel crushing contractor to carry out the crushing of up to 25,000 tonnes of Des 4 Class 40 and a minimum of 90,000 tonnes of Des 4 Class 23 gravel. This work will be carried out at the County's Vega Gravel pit, located at SE-3-63-4-W5. It is anticipated that this crushing will deplete the gravel pit, and so quantities are estimated at the minimum amount with the expectation that there will be excess material to crush more Des 4 Class 23 gravel. Should this tender be accepted, the undersigned agrees to enter into written agreement with the County of Barrhead, in the Province of Alberta, for the faithful performance of the works covered by this tender, in accordance with the said plans and specifications and shall not commence the work before the 1 st day of July, 2023, however, they must complete the said work on or before the 1 st day of December, 2023. Tenders must be accompanied by a Certified Cheque or a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total sum tendered. The lowest or any Tender may not necessarily be accepted. County of Barrhead reserves the right to accept or reject any Tenders received.
