Site work for a water / sewer project in Sunrise, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work for this location consists of, but is not limited to a water main replacement project which includes clearing and grubbing, maintenance of traffic, open cut installation of 6", 8" and 10" ductile iron water main pipe, installation of 8" and 10" High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe by the directional drill method, installation of valves, fittings and fire hydrants, replacement of 2" water service pipe with HDPE pipe by open cut and pipe bursting, replacement of water meters and assemblies, connection to an existing 12" DIP water main at two locations, limited milling and repaving, trench pavement restoration, sod restoration, existing 6" PVC pipe abandonment, water main testing, and other miscellaneous items to provide a complete water main replacement of the existing system. The project work also includes preparation of as-built record drawings and all work required to certify the new system and place the new mains into service. The existing water system must remain in service until the replacement system construction is completed and released for operation. The existing water services will be replaced and service transferred to the new system with the least possible disruption to the existing water customers transferred to the new system with the least possible disruption to the existing water customers, as shown and specified in the Bid documents.
