The contract will consist of the following: Base Bid: In general, the work to be completed for the Town of New Richmond Water System Improvements project involves the construction of a new water treatment facility, rehabilitation of existing wells, miscellaneous water main improvements, as well as all site and pavement restoration, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, and all other ancillary work required to complete the project as generally designed. The new water treatment facility includes a new treatment unit building with a new chemical feed system, modifications to the existing chemical feed system, chemical feed injection manhole, treatment unit, 75 linear feet of 6" gravity sewer for backwash disposal, related control and electrical systems for operation, flow meter, emergency generator, 120 linear feet of new 6" water line for the existing wells, 35 linear feet of 6" finished water line for the treatment facility, one (1) 6" gate valves and box, four (4) 6" tapping sleeve and valve, one (1) 6" insertion valve, abandonment of one (1) existing valve with repaving, one (1) cut and cap of existing water main, one (1) connection to existing sanitary sewer for filter backwash drain, one (1) fire hydrant assembly, yard piping and site work, and fencing with motorized slide gate. The rehabilitation of existing wells includes the removal and disposal of two (2) existing pumps, installation of two (2) new pumps in existing wells, and water quality testing. The miscellaneous water main improvements include approximately 820 linear feet of 6" water main (directionally drilled), two (2) 6" tapping sleeves and valves, two (2) 6" gate valves and box, two (2) fire hydrant assemblies, two (2) sampling/flushing hydrants, cut and cap of two (2) existing water mains and one (1) service line, 185 linear feet of open cut 3/4 " service lines, four (4) service line connections/taps, ten (10) reconnections of existing service lines, six (6) new water meter pit assemblies, and three (3) new service lines Bidders shall submit all questions to the Engineer in writing via email at: kdunn@hwcengineering.com (Project Manager).
