Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the project titled Water System Improvements - FY2021 CDBG as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists installation of + 3,697 L.F. of 8" and 4,498 L.F. of 6" water main, fire hydrants, gate valves, sidewalk replacement, grassing, erosion control, and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete project. Plans and Contract Documents are on file for review only at the City of Gordon and the Room. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Any Contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded by a grant by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs - Community Development Block Grant Program and city funds. This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
