Bid Comments: Rubber Floor Replacement at Englewood Sports Complex : removal and replacement of rubber floor in the weight room at the Englewood Sports Complex which was damaged due to Hurricane Ian water intrusion. As a result of Hurricane Ian, Sarasota County requires both removal and installation of rubber flooring at the Englewood Sports Complex weight room, which is located at 1300 S River Rd, Englewood, FL 34223. The project encompasses a total area of approximately 945 square feet. a. Removal of a minimum 100 square feet of rubberized flooring, and b. Installation of a minimum 100 square feet of rubberized flooring. A. Contractor shall remove 945 square feet of existing rubber sheet flooring. B. Contractor shall remove 160 linear feet of cove base. C. Contractor shall dispose of rubber flooring and cove base off-site from the County's project site. No County trash receptacles may be used for this project. D. Contractor shall prepare 945 square feet of floor by removing the adhesive. E. Contractor shall assess and repair damaged areas of the floor using a manufacturer-approved floor patch. F. Contractor shall provide and install 945 square feet of new 8.0 mm rubber sheet flooring in light blue color, according to manufacturer specifications. The County shall review and approve the Contractor's choice prior to them submitting their order for the flooring. G. Contractor shall use two-part epoxy adhesive. The estimated amount of epoxy shall be calculated by the Contractor based on the square feet of the area in question. H. Contractor shall provide and install 160 linear feet of 4-inch gray vinyl base. I. Contractor shall provide and install transition strips. J. Measurements indicated above are approximate.
