As of 6/23/2023 this project has been cancelled. The City of New Haven is seeking proposals from qualified Bidders (General Contractor) for the redevelopment of 342, 346 and 350 Grand Avenue, New Haven, CT. The Bidder is responsible for including but not limited to: construction and maintenance, project timeline and providing a completed project to be turned over at one time. The structures are (3) BROWNSTONE STYLE HOUSES converting into 2-FAMILY STRUCTURES (1ST FLOOR RENTAL and 2ND/3RD FLOOR COMBO UNIT) Residential rehabilitation of existing historic structures Noise attenuation measures must be undertaken during construction to minimize the impact in surrounding area. All renovations must be completed within 18 months from the execution of the construction agreement. The term of the contract because of this solicitation shall be one year unless stated elsewhere in the Specifications. If there are any options to renew, all renewals will be at the sole discretion of the City and pursuant to the same terms and conditions. Question & Clarification Deadline:June 6, 2025, 5:00pm Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing via online Good Faith Efforts - Bidders must objectively demonstrate to the City positive efforts to meet the City's 25% goal for the use of minority and women-owned small businesses ("Targeted Enterprises") in the project. The structures will be existing three (3) structures rehabilitated into two family buildings. The structures must comply with all pertinent state statues, building/fire safety codes, zoning and health/asthma codes, and energy star standards including the design guidelines attached. The project includes but not limited to landscaping, driveways, project site maintenance, mechanicals, foundation, infrastructure, utilities, alarm system, central air, all appliances (installed at time of homeowner purchase), fixtures, flooring, painting, fencing, curbs, street utilities, street and site work.
