As of August 02, 2023 Project was awarded to Trench Line Excavation Inc. but no amount/sd/ed. The City of Hillsboro seeks competitive sealed bids from qualified and experienced firms able to provide the installation of a new water pressure reducing valve station. This station provides a connection point from the transmission line to the distribution system. Work includes but is not limited to hot tapping a 42-inch concrete cylinder transmission line with a 12-inch outlet, installing an 816-LA-9 utility vault with pressure reducing valves, flow meters, bypass, surge relief, sump with pump, and all associated appurtenances, and connecting the new vault back to existing water and drain lines. Harness joints to be installed on new waterlines for seismic resiliency. Work also includes the installation of conduit and a concrete pad to house City electrical and telemetry equipment, a security fence, and gravel driving and walking surfaces. Shoring and dewatering will be required. A&A Drilling Services Inc, or approved equal at the sole discretion of the City, required to be the hot tapping subcontractor. Hot tapping and subsequent onsite work shall occur during low demand/wet weather season, anticipated as November 1, 2023 or later. Contractor shall obtain Notice to Proceed for Onsite Work prior to mobilizing onsite.
