Gary Burns gary.burns@eku.edu Project consists of site improvements of three raised crosswalks along Kit Carson Drive. Two crosswalks will be new construction, one will involve demolition of an existing raised crosswalk and replaced with a reduced crosswalk in breadth. The site improvements will include but are not limited to the following: site grading, site paving including concrete and asphalt. Two crosswalks will involve the installation of storm sewer inlets, piping, and a connection to existing storm sewers. The third raised crosswalk will involve grading and steel grates to safely convey stormwater along the crosswalk. All new construction of walks shall be ADA and PROWAG compliant. All signage and striping shall conform to KYTC and MUTCD standards and regulations. Landscaping shall be used in lieu of physical barriers to discourage pedestrian traffic outside of the raised crosswalks.
