Anyone that is interested in bidding will need to receive the full set of plans and spec's from the office of the engineer. The award of this Contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the County of Salem in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful Bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the County of Salem in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. This Project includes a goal of Awarding three percent (3%) of the total Contract value to Sub-Contractors, Equipment Lessors and/or Material Suppliers which qualify as Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). All Bids Must Be Received on or Before the Scheduled Time. Salem County is Not Responsible for Late Delivery of Bids. Late Bids Will Not Be Considered. Bids Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check for Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid (but Not Over $20,000.00), or an Acceptable Bid Bond. a Consent of Surety From an Approved Surety Company Must Also Be Submitted With the Bid.
