As a Community Resiliency Investment (CRI) Program Recipient Agreement holder, the District invites proposals to implement a fuel treatment to reduce hazardous fuels and fire behaviour adjacent to the community. A total of 6.0 ha has been identified for treatment. The objective of this project is to reduce the fuel loading and fire hazard in moderate to high hazard interface areas which are constrained by multiple values and objectives. The proposed treatments involve hazard tree removal, thinning from below, pruning, brushing, surface fuel reduction and debris disposal (pile burning, chipping and/or hauling).
