City of Escanaba will receive qualification-based competitive bids for material testing for the Stephenson Avenue Improvement Project 2023. This project consists of existing pavement removal, aggregate base placement and HMA surfacing on 9th Avenue North from Washington Avenue to Stephenson Avenue and Stephenson Avenue from 200 feet south of 9th Avenue North to 17th Avenue North. The entire project is within the city limits of the City of Escanaba The total estimated construction cost is $1,175,905. Project Completion Date: Friday, September 29th, 2023 All questions pertaining to this request for bids shall be submitted in writing to Wendy Taavola at wtaavola@escanaba.org. The goal of this request for bids is to provide for materials testing pursuant to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction on the abovementioned federal aid project. The contractor providing testing duties must be MDOT certified
