The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting quotes to install an 18-inch culvert across E Nelson Road and recondition approximately 500-linear feet of W Carl Drive. See the RFQ document for detail. Schedule A: Install an 18-inch culvert across E. Nelson Road to reduce the flooding on Fetlock. The contractor is responsible for utility locates prior to starting work. The ditch shall meet the minimum dimensions as specified on the attached Typical. Construct the ditch to drain to the cross pipe. During installation of the cross pipe install with a minimum of 0.5% drainage across Nelson Road. For the patch to repave Nelson use the Road Structural Section A on the Typical page. This work is a road maintenance project that should follow the DOT Standards Specification for Highway Construction 2017 Edition. Schedule B: Recondition approximately 500-Linear Feet of W. Carl Drive and extend the paved approach passed the mailbox turnaround. The surface course (E-1) should be cut out within the new asphalt location and use this material to recondition past the new asphalt. After the reconditioning remove approximately 60-square yards of the paved approach to tie the new Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) into. Prep the area for 2-inches of D-1 and 2-inches of HMA. This work is a road maintenance project that should follow the DOT Standards Specification for Highway Construction 2017 Edition.
