A. This project shall consist of the contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance (see Paragraph X), etc., necessary to provide necessary contract employees with at least one supervisor to perform cleaning services every weekday five (5) days a week excluding holidays. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) for a one (1) year contract term. DJS shall provide hand towels, toilet tissue, trashcan liners, sanitary napkin receptacle liners, toilet seat covers, and hand soap. The contractor shall purchase all other cleaning materials and cleaning supplies through Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM). B. The work associated with providing contracted employees to perform janitorial services for one (1) shift at the Garrett office. The first shift shall consist of services provided every weekday (Monday – Friday) starting no later than 5:00 p.m. and ending at job completion for all areas. The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, an Executive Department of the State of Maryland, hereinafter called “the Department,” “Juvenile Services,” or “DJS,” is soliciting Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a contractor to perform cleaning services at the Garrett County Office, every weekday excluding holidays, for a one (1) year contract term. This is a Small Business Reserve procurement for which award is limited to certified small business vendors. Only businesses that meet the requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article, §§ 14-501 - 14- 505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award. The Contract award will be made under COMAR Procurement Regulation 21.05.02.13. The Procurement Officer will contact all contractors that submitted a timely bid with password protection immediately after the Noon closing time for the document password. The Bidder’s Contact shall provide the password to the Procurement Officer upon request or their Bid may be determined non-responsive. A bid summary will be issued ASAP.
