Site work and new construction of a library in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a library; and for site work for a library.
As of August 31, 2023, the council voted to proceed with the renovation of the Prosser Library building. In 2021 voters at a referendum approved renovations to both the Prosser and McMahon libraries for $29 million. But cost overruns, mainly due to labor costs and inflation, have prompted the library building committee to ask for $10 million in additional bonding to complete the rebuilding of Prosser and rehabilitation of McMahon. Due to the binding language in the previous referendum, the entire amount of funding can't be used on Prosser alone, and must include fixes of some kind for McMahon.
