This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Albany, New York. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The Village of Green Island was awarded an Empire State Development Grant through the Capital Region Regional Economic Development Council (REDC). The Village will invest up to $80,000 to conduct a water and sewer infrastructure study in the developing northern end of the Village of Green Island (Albany County). The Village was awarded up to $40,000 for this strategic planning and feasibility study. The Village will conduct a water and sewer infrastructure study, to include implementable recommendations, engineering, required infrastructure improvements, and a framework for ongoing industrial development. The Village is seeking to retain an engineering firm to conduct a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER). The PER will demonstrate the potential for current and future development while specifying improvements to infrastructure reliability and reducing water and sewer service cost to facilitate industrial growth. The Village is interested in a comprehensive study that can be later used to obtain funding for design and construction. The Village will be required to use good faith efforts to achieve an overall Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation goal of thirty percent (30%). The Village is committed to meeting the recommended goal. The Village Selection Committee will review the qualification proposals and will make a recommendation to Village of Green Island Board of Trustees. A presentation by the consultants to the Selection Committee may be required prior to a final recommendation. Final selection of an engineering consultant will be made by the Village of Green Island through its delegated authority. The study area is north of Tibbits Avenue, and includes the area in the vicinity of Tibbits Avenue, Cannon Street, Veterans Memorial Drive, and Cohoes Avenue to the Village/City of Cohoes line. Questions must be sent to Anne Strizzi, Village Clerk. Questions will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Anne Strizzi can be reached at anne.strizzi@villageofgreenisland.com. Questions and answers will be shared with all firms listed as a potential proposer. Contract term: One Year Contract
