Approximately 60 feet of bank stabilization including embankment, heavy riprap, plain riprap spillway, slope restoration and aggregate base. The bank stabilization work includes, but is not limited to, all work and materials necessary to complete the work of guardrail removal, underdrain installation, clay embankment placement and compaction, aggregate base placement and compaction, geotextile fabric installation (prior to heavy riprap placement), heavy rip rap (Limestone) placement, clay layer atop riprap placement and compaction, plain riprap spillway construction, 4" topsoil placement, and slope restoration including seeding, fertilizing and mulch blanketing. This project must be completed on or before July 31, 2023. The Gratiot County Road Commission will assess liquidated damages in the amount of $200 per calendar day that the project or portion of the project remains unopened to traffic. The Contractor must continue work on the project until the Engineer designates that the project is "Approved for Traffic" and the work is suspended. All materials necessary for this work will be provided by the GCRC. This project is funded using local funds. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished by the Gratiot County Road Commission and sealed in envelopes with the name and address of the bidder, and the item bid upon clearly marked thereon. A bid deposit of $500 will be required for this item. The bid deposit may be in the form of certified check, cashier's check or bid bond.
