The City of Palm Bay is requesting Bids from qualified suppliers of floor and wall tile. As part of a
bathroom renovation project for Veterans Park and Castaway Cove, the City of Palm Bay is seeking
commercial grade floor and wall tile. The City plans to make a single award to the responsive, responsible
bidder with the highest discount percentage off list price. No commitments for future purchases for this or
any other project are implied and responding Bidders should not infer any such intentions by the City.
By submitting a bid, offerors agree to comply with all federal provisions, as referenced on the federal
funding Attachment A.
Due to funding deadlines, the City of Palm Bay must take complete/correct delivery and be fully invoiced
no later than July 17, 2023.
o The floor and wall tiles shall be:
o glazed porcelain,
o rated for commercial applications,
o shall meet or exceed the performance characteristics, application, and durability of Dal
Tile Volume 1.0
TM 6"x24", 6"x6", cove base, and cove base corner trim,
o manufactured in accordance with ANSI A137.1,
water absorption of <.5% using ASTM C373,
breaking strength of >275 lbs. using ASTM C648,
scratch hardness 8.0 using ASTM MOHS, and
chemical resistant using ASTM C650.
o Color will be selected from full range of standard designer colors.
o Provide one (1) year warranty. If material is found defective during that period, the material shall
be replaced free of charge. No credits or allowances shall be issued for any labor or expenses
relating to the replacement of components covered under the warranty plan.
o All pricing shall include the delivery and or shipping of the materials to a City of Palm Bay
property within the City of Palm Bay.
o At the time of bid, Vendor shall provide.
o a copy of the tile specifications,
o a copy of the manufacturer's Buy American Certificate, and
o a copy of the current list price
All questions about the meaning or intent of the Quote Documents shall be submitted in writing and
directed to the City of Palm Bay, 120 Malabar Road SE, Suite 200, Palm Bay, FL 32907, Attention: Selda
Vasquez-McMahan, Procurement Agent I, Procurement Department. Questions may also be sent via email at procurement@pbfl.org. Bidder is responsible for verifying questions were received by the
Procurement contact. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to Quote due date will
not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other
interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect and shall not be relied upon by Bidders in
submitting their Quotes.
