Renovation of a residential development in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Remove existing shingles down to sheathing. Check over all the existing roof sheathing for any waterdamage, broken boards, and larger than ½” gaps between sheathing replace as needed. If a sheath over is required a change order must be okayed by the Construction Officer before continuing. Patchthe existing holes from the turtle/can vents. Remove the sheathing at the ridge per shingle over vent manufactures directions. Install ice and snow guard around the lower section of roof making sure tocover at least a 1 ft over top plate on the exterior walls below. Installed approved water barrier over the remainder roof. Install 30-year architectural shingles homeowners’ choice of colors. New shingleover ridge vent. New chimney flashing and counter flashing. New plumber boots over the vents and split ring for the mast flashing. New 2” white style D roof edge. Remove Existing gutters and downs from the roof. Install new gutters to a proper slope and securely fasten with approved hangers. Install new downs with minimum of two straps per 8’ section. Install 4’ tail pipes taking water away from the house with hinged brackets. Make sure all sections are secured with color matched metal screws. Permit required before work starts. All questions shall be directed to the Construction Officer at 309-732-2906.
