Site work for a water / sewer project in Rochester, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Reference Number 0000326428 It is the intent of the City of Rochester Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD) to establish a contract for Water Service Replacement at various residential dwellings and commercial business locations within the City of Rochester. The section of water service to be replaced is between the curb stop/box and the meter inside the building, and is commonly referred to as the "Inside Water Service". The work to be done under this contract includes, but is not limited to: Replace existing 1" diameter and smaller inside lead, lead-lined or galvanized water service lines with new water services between the existing curb stop/box and water meter via missiling, drilling, or excavation. Obtain owner's signature on access agreement and provide to NBD Inform City of Rochester Water Bureau (RWB) if owner will not sign access agreement Inspect and confirm existing inside service material prior to commencing work Distribute safe drinking water literature and water filter pitchers to occupants, as furnished by RWB Obtain necessary (no cost) permit(s) Coordinate work with owner/occupant Excavate pits/trench Connect new water service line to existing curb stop Flush new water service and confirm whether or not meter is operable (If meter is not operable, call RWB Meter Services Division @ 585.428.7011 Connect new water service line to existing meter setting Arrange for inspection of work by NBD Reinstall electrical ground wire. Reset existing curb box or replace with new curb box, if damaged (new curb box furnished by RWB for pickup by Contractor) Backfill pits/trench Restore disturbed surfaces All work is to be performed by a plumber licensed by the City of Rochester. NOTICE - this contract incorporates MWBE and Workforce goal requirements, as required by Ordinance No. 2018-54. This contract has a 30% MWBE Goal, consisting of 20% M and 10% W. This contract has workforce goals of 20% M and 6.9% W. Details about these goals, and the contract requirements for meeting these goals, are provided herein and in Appendix C.
