The City of Long Beach, Fleet Services Bureau is currently requesting proposals from experienced professionals to conduct Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Above-ground Storage Tank (AST) consulting and construction/project management for the City's UST and AST fuel sites. Currently, there are 17 sites under the scope of this contract. Qualified personnel will be required to comply with Federal, State, and local UST Regulations, Title 23 of the California Code of Regulations, Chapter 6.7 of the California Health and Safety Code, California Fire Code, and the City of Long Beach Tank Management Program The City of Long Beach is seeking proposals that clearly and concisely describe the technical and management approach to be used to provide the City with UST/AST consulting and UST/AST construction management services that will help ensure that the City stays in full compliance with all regulations at all times in a cost effective manner as requested. The City desires expert technical and practical knowledge which generally consists of, but is not limited to, providing regulatory guidance and support; conducting periodic inspections and audits; providing interface with regulators regarding technical matters; oversight of construction projects including upgrade, removal, major repair, and remediation projects; UST/AST training; preparing UST/AST reports and miscellaneous documentation; and contributing to the UST/AST Task Force at monthly meetings. Some projects may be done in conjunction with City Capital Improvement (CIP) Program staff. USTs are located in marine and non-marine areas.
